female focus initiative, the first female (youth) re-entry program, is a partnership with the Department of Youth Services, the Boston Coalition, the Ella J. Baker House, and the Boston Police Department. Recognizing that the majority of community-based juvenile delinquency prevention/intervention programs are mainly populated and geared toward young men, many young women tend to fall between the cracks. FFI provides effective programming (recreational, educational, and cultural) for young women who are involved in the juvenile justice system.
