Life Coach

Life Coaches will provide prevention, intervention, support, stabilization, advocacy, and therapeutic services for three to seven young males, females, and/or transgender youth assigned to their caseload between the ages of 12-21.

These youths have been identified as; at risk of becoming involved; involved; or in recovery from sexual exploitation. Efforts will be made to match youth involved in the program with Life Coaches whose background and experiences most closely resemble theirs.  Life Coaches will be directly responsibly for a caseload of 3 – 7 youths. They will be charged with the responsibility of knowing where their matches are at all times, acting as the youth’s main connection to safety and as a portal to more intensive services when/if, the youth decides to use them.

Life Coaches are individuals who can appropriately redirect youth in a positive direction drawing upon their own professional, educational, and personal life experiences. The relationships developed between the Life Coaches and the youth they are matched with is essential to the success of this program. Development of strong trusting relationships is critical. A non-judgmental approach designed to accept youth wherever they are on the continuum of sexual exploitation will be employed by each Life Coach. Life Coaches will be utilized to help youth build and sustain positive connections and relationships that will help support and stabilize them while preparing for the future. Life Coaches are seen as the glue that may hold together the often-fragile connection between the youth and the vital services they need to succeed.
