Life Coach Supervisor

Under the general supervision of the Program Director, this position is responsible for assisting with the management of the daily operation of the program and direct supervision of life coaches assigned to them. Supervisors will assist staff in developing and implementing programs and activities for youth which promote pro-social behavior. Supervisors will provide Life Coaches with weekly support and supervision including requiring them to keep a daily log of all interactions with assigned youth. Supervisors will also serve as Life Coaches for up to five (5) youth.

Job Duties Include

  • Supervision of staff, volunteers and interns Participate actively in hiring process;
  • Participate in weekly client reviews;
  • Participate in meetings with other collaborate agencies such as;
  • (Group home, Intensive Foster Care placements, and the Residential group home);
  • Participate in clinical consultation meetings and trainings Preparing and/or reviewing monthly reports and submitting them to the Department of Children and Families;
  • Assist with coordinating staff-related activities and events, including staff retreats, staff appreciation and staff development;
  • Assist with implement of the organizational policies and procedures;
  • Maintain positive, collaborative linkages to community agencies, corporations and foundations; Assist with fundraising, grant and proposal writing;
  • Assume Life Coach responsibility (see Life Coach job description) for all youth assigned to their caseload

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelors or master’s degree (preferred).
  • Two to five years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience providing treatment and case management services to at-risk/high-risk youth and young adult populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct youth and adolescent assessments and establish related goals and outcomes.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services available for traumatized and sexually exploited youth.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet deadlines in a timely fashion;
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve;
  • Possession of strong Microsoft office skills Knowledge of mediation techniques Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with collaterals, families and youth within a multi- disciplinary team environment;

All candidates are required to:

  • possess a valid driver license;
  • have the ability to travel within and occasionally outside the state;
  • and have access to a vehicle in order to periodically transport youth and meet other requirements of the job
