Site Support Specialist (Non-Exempt)

The primary role of the Site Support Specialist is to support DYS Caseworkers in monitoring clients’ adherence to their established itineraries and expectations.

The purpose is not for the Site Support Specialist to maintain a specific caseload, but rather to support, as an active member of the case management team, the supervision, accountability and service delivery goals of the casework team members. 

The Site Support Specialist receives their job tasks and duties from the on-site DYS District Manager. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct client itinerary monitoring to include school attendance, employment and curfew calls and other scheduled activities as appropriate
  • Provide routine office coverage at the District Office when needed, to assist in properly supervising clients while on-site – including conducting searches of clients upon entry to the building
  • Facilitate the process for electronic monitoring for designated clients 
  • Provide active support to the Resource Development Specialist and/or DYS Casework Staff on recreational and civic engagement/community service activities as needed to ensure proper supervision of clients
  • Assist in community-based client transportation
  • Responsible for identifying and documenting any concerns related to the physical plant (e.g. maintenance, safety, heat, lighting, etc.) and for notifying the Provider Contract Manager so that such concerns may be swiftly rectified  

Qualifications Required: 

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) 
  • Previous work with youth (required)
  • Minimum one year professional experience directly relevant to the position responsibilities described above
  • Experience in the fields of Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare, Behavioral Health or demonstrably related field (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and to meet deadlines in a timely fashion
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must possess a  vehicle 
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess strong organization and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently
